A portion of every October visit supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Book any service this month and your visit becomes part of it.
Where Your Visit Goes
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is one of the largest private funders of breast cancer research in the world. This October, a portion of every visit at JECT goes toward their work.
Founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder, BCRF funds scientists around the world working on better ways to prevent, detect and treat the disease. We’re honored to play a small part in that progress.

Provider Spotlight
For Barret, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is personal. After her own diagnosis in 2024, she faced stage 2 breast cancer at just 32 years old. Today, she brings profound perspective and empathy to every patient she encounters.
“
Being part of JECT’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative means so much to me. I understand the impact of what we do at JECT and how we can support women in feeling good in our bodies. I hope sharing my story reminds someone to schedule their screening and advocate for themselves.

Women Supporting Women
JECT was founded by Gabby Garritano, PA-C, to create a place where women feel seen, cared for and confident. This October, we’re extending that care beyond our doors, by supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and by celebrating women like Barret.
Every appointment this month gives back, from a quick touch-up to a first consultation.
How many PRP hair restoration sessions do I need?
A series of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal results, followed by maintenance sessions every 3–6 months. Most patients notice reduced shedding after the first session and visible new growth after 3–4 months. Each patient is different and results may vary.
What is the difference between PRP and PRFM?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) delivers a concentrated dose of growth factors directly to the scalp. PRFM (Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix) is an advanced form that forms a fibrin scaffold, allowing growth factors to release more slowly and remain at the treatment site longer — offering more sustained stimulation of hair follicles.
Is PRP hair restoration painful?
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to minimize discomfort. Most patients describe mild pressure or a light pinching sensation during the injections. The treatment takes under an hour and most patients return to normal activities immediately afterwards.
How long before I see results from PRP hair restoration?
Most patients notice reduced hair shedding after 1–2 sessions. Visible new growth typically appears after 3–4 months. Full results develop over 6–12 months as hair follicles are progressively stimulated. Consistency with the recommended treatment series is key to optimal outcomes.
Is PRP hair restoration available at all JECT locations?
Yes — PRP and PRFM hair restoration is available at all JECT locations including West Village, Upper East Side, Brooklyn, Rye Brook, Bridgehampton, Miami Beach, West Palm Beach, Shrewsbury NJ, and Los Angeles. Book a consultation at any location online.
